Solving for Safety:
Philosophy
Your nervous system has had millennia to master navigating this earth.
Your ancestors erred on the side of caution when it came to sticks and snakes. They chose to gather in groups to increase resources. They broke new ground when tradition became dangerous.
In short, they did all the right things at the right time to allow for the singular phenomenon that is You.

Change one thing and you were never here. The sheer unlikelihood of your existence is staggering and yet completely unavoidable. You are the next logical step in a tapestry of events.
Your existence is obvious.
You, just like everything other living thing, exist with one singular mandate. Only one. The compulsion to keep on living: To Survive.

All of our choices boil down to that one mandate:
Which one keeps us alive?
Yet how do we choose?
We weigh our options in terms of safety:
Literally, the sensation of safety.

Today's world is vastly different than our anscestor's. Our choices, tools and consequences have changed.
Our nervous system is still running the original algorithm.
Instinctively, we are still Solving for Safety.
So how can two people make such wildly different choices? Because what makes each of us feel safe, is different.
The key to understanding is simply this:
within our own definition and calibration, we are all just
Solving for Safety.

When we see things as they truly are,
we give ourselves the power to change them.
